100% Remote | Fee Split | Ontario

A growing Ontario law firm is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its team on a 100% remote, fee-split basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Lawyer looking for flexibility, autonomy, and the ability to build and manage their own practice while benefiting from the firm's infrastructure and support.

The Opportunity

The successful candidate will independently manage a Family Law practice, advising and representing clients on a range of family law matters.

This is a fee-split opportunity rather than a salaried position. The lawyer will have the flexibility to work remotely while handling their own files and building their client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Family Law files from initial consultation through resolution.
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on a broad range of Family Law matters.
• Draft and review pleadings, agreements, correspondence, court documents, and other legal materials.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, conferences, motions, and other court proceedings.
• Develop case strategies tailored to individual client needs.
• Conduct legal research and remain current with developments in Ontario Family Law.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other legal professionals.
• Manage deadlines, court appearances, and file requirements independently.
• Maintain accurate and organized client files.
• Provide professional and client-focused legal services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing Family Law.
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Family Law legislation, procedures, and court processes.
• Experience independently managing Family Law files.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Strong client-service orientation and professional judgment.

Compensation

Fee Split

This is a 100% remote, fee-split opportunity with no traditional base salary.

The lawyer will receive a percentage of collected fees generated from their files, based on the firm's agreed fee-split structure.

The fee split will be discussed with qualified candidates and will be determined based on experience, practice requirements, and the overall arrangement.
